Maribel was such a pleasure to work with throughout my 9-month home buying process. She understood what I was looking for (vintage walk up with modern upgrades). Maribel has extensive knowledge of the various Chicago neighborhoods and she was instrumental in helping me focus my search in a few  select areas. She is very organized and made sure to make good use of the time we spent looking at available properties (I live out of town and therefore only spent a few days in Chicago physically looking). Once I decided on a property, Maribel really took charge of the negotiating process. She was never pushy and always allowed me to make my own decisions, but I definitely leaned on all her past experience to help guide my decisions with offers/counter-offers. After my offer was accepted, she remained very involved due to a number of hurdles with securing the financing. She kept me calm when I was stressed and I know she did so much more work behind the scenes that I never even saw. I met Maribel Chacon-Torres through a Zillow listing and worked with her for 2 months on an apartment closing. Maribel strikes one as a highly professional and truly committed agent from the first instance. She has helped me find a wonderful apartment while I resided in NYC and traveled to Chicago  only a couple of times during the entire process. She set up a customized system for what I was looking for. She understood the key qualities of the prospective apartments and she narrowed it down to the ones that I really liked. She was always, I cannot emphasize this enough, on top of deadlines, list of things to do and elements of the contract and closing process. She never let a single thing slip by; and because of that professionalism we were able to close an apartment in a very short amount of time. Her advice was to the point and she explained the basics when I needed. She was also amazingly resourceful when it came to be my representative from this far. As a person, she is very warm always optimistic and truthful to the realities of the house search. She supported us in many different ways when it almost seemed impossible. I am very happy to have worked with her and wholeheartedly recommend her to any potential buyer and seller. You will not be disappointed and will have a smooth transition!

Maribel is great! This was my first time purchasing property and Maribel helped me purchase a multi-family home. Maribel made this process go smoothly because she has experience, she knows her stuff (and so much more), she is patient, and always available when needed. From the minute we started working with Maribel she was extremely helpful – she was very knowledgeable about the market, and was instrumental in stirring up interest in our property by hosting several open houses. Throughout the entire selling process, she was very communicative with us, so that  we knew exactly what was happening and not left “in the dark” – she called us every few days with updates, and let us know how each showing went as well.
